It is great, but for us, who has been today on the ground it is at the same time "difficuilt" to listen now to the pilots talking about todays' wave and how great it was and how it was hard on the track and how they make it back to the airfield. Now they are relaxing and chating in our airfield restaurant with very very friendly and nice atmosphere. So we wish you all a nice evening and we'll keep you informed! See you tomorrow!
It is clearly clear that today's race was more demanding than yesterday, as is shown also by a larger number of contestants who have not been able to fly the entire track. I was talking to several pilots, and everyone agreed that it was better to wait a while now and get on the track later. Some of them who had gone too soon had finished already at the airport Partizánske or had to start their engines. But that's the sailing and there is really a lot of factors that need to be evaluated! in a while we will see who manadged it best today
The last glider has been launched around half past one and in less than half hour later already first glider landed. The weather is still good only the strong wind from south (up to 8m/s) will make it a bit harder for our competitors. We are expecting a main squad of landing glider in every moment.
Start line for club class was opened at 12:17, for 15m class at 12:45 and for combi class at 13:25
Today it was very difficuilt for the task-setters, as there are more restricted and prohibited areas published. They had to huddle the task in to more narrow corridor as usually. On top of it, there are another obstacles prepared by the weather, as we are expecting some storms and showers in the afternoon and also a strong wind. Lanches started again exactly on scheduled time 11:30 and are now fully in progress.
Briefing will be at 10:15
Good morning! Grid will be on the RWY 22!
